Art therapy

Is about the creative process, not the final product, and no prior art experience is necessary. I lead clients through a guided process and using art mediums like painting, drawing, clay, nature crafting and more. Clients can explore thoughts, feelings and emotions, gain personal insights, unlock self-expression, and find emotional healing. Art therapy is particularly helpful in times of crisis, for conflict resolution, decision-making, or processing past trauma in a non-invasive way. It’s also effective in reducing stress, anxiety, depression, and more.

Art therapy is an evidence-based therapy that benefits all ages, even children as young as two. It can help children with emotional and behavioural challenges to express themselves in ways that words cannot. This approach is also beneficial for individuals with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing issues, helping them decompress and communicate through their creations.

Art therapy can be a standalone treatment or complement other types of therapy, including talk based therapy.

Transpersonal Counselling

Utilises altered states of consciousness to facilitate a “bottom-up” (embodied) approach to therapy. By focusing on the body's story and exploring different feelings and sensations stored within it. This approach can aid in crisis management, decision-making, and trauma processing.

I incorporate techniques like meditation, mindfulness, visualisations, creative writing, music, movement, mirroring, breathwork, divination and more, aiming to enhance mental health, personal growth, and emotional healing.

This holistic approach nurtures the mind, body, and spirit, through shamanic informed practices, offering benefits such as enhanced spiritual connection, greater empathy, and a deeper appreciation for life.

Transpersonal counselling can be a standalone treatment or complement other forms of therapy and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Reiki and sound therapy

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing practice that balances the body’s energy centers, promoting harmony and healing. It can assist with conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, pain management and so much more.

Sound therapy uses specific frequencies to move through blockages in the body, also enhancing relaxation, focus, and cognitive function. Evidence shows it supports neuroplasticity, aiding the brain in forming new neural connections and rebalancing itself.

I combine Reiki with sound therapy, utilizing relaxing music and frequencies, as well hand held instruments like crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, rattles, drums and other sound healing instruments.

Reiki energy can also be applied by placing hands above or lightly touching areas of the body (with consent I only touch head, hands and feet) to help balance the nervous system, allowing deep relaxation and healing to take place.

Studies show that these therapies can reduce stress and anxiety, boost mood, relieve pain, improve sleep, and enhance overall wellbeing. Benefiting both adults and children, helping them relax and build confidence while also supporting those with ADD/ADHD and emotional challenges by relaxing the nervous system and bringing balance and connection back to the mind, body and soul.

Group workshops

Utilising a combination of the above therapies, adapting tools and techniques for a group setting, with considered processes and outcomes for each session.

Uniquely created based on what the group needs - connection, repair, team bonding, resilience, grief or trauma processing, relaxation, rituals, celebrations, empowerment, self-love and more.

I also facilitate art experiences for fun and therapeutic benefits like guided paint and sip style, meditate and create classes and more.
