Rowena Eastburn

Rowena is a qualified Art Therapist, Transpersonal Counsellor, and Shamanic Practitioner, offering a holistic, trauma-informed approach to mental health and wellbeing.

With additional training in Polyvagal-Focused and Sensorimotor Expressive Arts Therapy, along with qualifications in Holy Fire Reiki and Sound Therapy, Rowena’s work is grounded in both evidence-based practice and intuitive, embodied approaches to healing. Her sessions honour the understanding that healing involves the whole person — mind, body, heart, and spirit.

Rowena offers a deeply client-centred and relational approach, walking alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges. Each session is thoughtfully shaped to meet the individual’s unique needs, supporting self-exploration, emotional regulation, and the gentle integration of life experiences.

At the heart of Rowena’s work is the belief that each person carries their own inner wisdom and capacity for healing. Through creative processes and therapeutic guidance, clients are supported to reconnect with their authentic selves and access their own inner resources and strengths.

Creative and expressive arts therapy plays a central role in her practice. Through art-making, storytelling, symbolism, imagination, somatic awareness, and spiritual exploration, clients are invited to engage with their inner world — including emotions, memories, dreams, and lived experiences. This approach can be especially supportive when words feel limited, overwhelming, or unavailable.

Drawing on her training across psychotherapy, psychology, somatic, transpersonal, shamanic, and energy healing modalities, Rowena offers a safe, non-judgmental space where the body and the creative process are invited to speak. Clients are gently supported to develop tools for self- and co-regulation, fostering greater resilience, integration, and emotional safety.

Rowena’s work is grounded, compassionate, and unhurried — offering space to create, rest, and restore.

Why I Do This Work

I believe healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and met with compassion — not when we are rushed, fixed, or told who to be.

My path into this work has been shaped by a deep curiosity about healing beyond words, and a knowing that true wellbeing involves the body, emotions, creativity, nature, and spirit. I am drawn to approaches that honour the nervous system, respect personal pace, and create safety through presence rather than pressure.

Over time, this has evolved into a practice that weaves together trauma-informed therapy, creative expression, and earth-based wisdom. I do this work to support people in reconnecting with themselves, discovering their own inner resources, and finding meaning within their experiences.

Creating spaces where the body can lead, creativity can speak, and healing can unfold gently is both an honour and a responsibility I hold with care. Walking alongside others in this way continues to inspire and humble me.
